About Us
Knollwood Gun Club offers skeet shooting for anyone from the novice to the most accomplished competitive shooters, while still maintaining a family friendly atmosphere. K.G.C. Operates 3 skeet fields, a mobile 5 Stand field, and has a heated/air conditioned clubhouse. The club has been at its current location, just west of Oswego, since 1954. Knollwood Gun Club is a not for profit organization.

Skeet Clay targets are thrown by separate traps, one located in each of two houses (high house and low house). Targets take the same path each time. The shooter moves through a total of eight shooting stations. Single targets and/or simultaneous doubles (one from each house) are thrown from each station. Any gauge shotgun is suitable for this sport. An open choked gun is recommended and only target loads may be used. Skeet originated in the United States in the early 20th century. It’s name comes from a Scandinavian word meaning to shoot.
